We were searching for an off-grid system when I met Peter at the Cottage Life show several years ago. He was the most knowledgeable solar specialist I came across in my search for a system that would support our cottage.
We were given a $50,000. quote to bring in hydro. To hook up to a “forever bill”? - I knew that wasn’t going to be the solution. After Peter and I talked about both current and future solar system possibilities, we did a usage calculation. That resulted in Peter recommending a system that would support our needs: eight 260W PV Panels facing dead south, charging a 24V battery bank of eight Surrette 6V Batteries powering a 4 KW PowerPak running 220V power into our 1500 sq ft cottage.
I’m a DIY guy and the advice, support, recommendations and trouble shooting assistance that Microgreen has provided has been awesome! Our system has been active now for about 2 years and we couldn’t be happier!
We just added the remote monitoring and auto-gen start and I love this ability to monitor my batteries and system, and start the backup propane generator remotely. (We’ve spent only $160 in propane this past winter on cloudy and snowy days.) Highly recommend this system and Peter’s expertise and guidance.

Denis' house - after hurricane Dorian, the grid power was taken out on Aug. 31, 2019 and is still not available on the island on April 26, 2020, according to Denis.

My house in the Bahamas is in the middle of the devastation caused by hurricane Dorian last year, and grid power is still not available today… I shipped the Power Pak along with a few solar panels down there and that absolutely changed our lives.
It was very simple to hook the Power Pak up to our existing electrical panel, turning off the main breaker first and eliminating the potential grid connection, and becoming off grid. The advice and assistance we received from Microgreen was second to none.
I would like to say how satisfied I am with the purchase of my Microgreen 4KW Power Pak.
