Tools
NREL PVWatts Calculator
Estimates the energy production of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) energy systems throughout the world. It allows homeowners, small building owners, installers and manufacturers to easily estimates the performance of potential PV installations.
Use it to see the effect of solar panel orientation and tilt angle. It will show the monthly energy generated from the solar panels.
Solar Calculator Canada
Enter a Canadian City and the calculator will provide a report on solar energy generation based on the optimal installation. Cannot customize the installation parameters such as orientation and tilt angles.
Voltage Drop Calculator
This is a calculator for the estimation of the voltage drop of an electrical circuit. Use this one to calculated the voltage drop between the solar panel and inverter. Would like to keep the voltage drop within 5%.
Use this calculator to determine if the solar panel installation distance is too far away.
